Read MoreHow would you describe your interior style in three words?
Luxe, whimsical and intentional.
What’s one small touch that instantly makes a space feel like home to you?
Fresh linen in soft but sometimes dramatic tones —there’s just something about the texture and scent that instantly makes everything feel lived-in and loved. I’m currently crushing on deep plum and chocolate tones, paired with pink of course.
Has your approach to decorating evolved over the years—or with different life stages like becoming a parent or moving house?
Absolutely. Living in tiny, movable homes has taught me to be selective, sustainable, and soulful with every piece. My style has evolved to focus more on function without compromising beauty—every item must serve a purpose and spark joy.
What’s one room or corner in your home that always brings you joy?
The cosy bed nook in our caravan where the light hits just right—it’s layered with textures, throws, and art, and feels like a hug in design form.
How do you balance practicality with style when it comes to home décor?
I start with a neutral base and then layer in personality—think clever storage, dual-purpose furniture, and decor that travels well. Every element has to do something, but it also has to make me smile.
What textures or materials do you naturally gravitate toward when decorating a space?
I’m always drawn to linen, velvet, boucle, timber, and brushed brass. They bring softness, warmth, and a tactile luxury to even the smallest of spaces.
Rugs are often the finishing touch—how do you decide on the right one for a room?
It’s all about mood. I look for a rug that grounds the space and tells a story through tone or texture—something that complements the overall palette but adds a subtle layer of interest without competing for the leading role.
What’s your go-to tip for layering rugs or adding coziness underfoot?
Play with proportion and pile. A flat woven base with a plush or patterned rug layered on top adds depth and dimension—especially in a tiny space where visual interest has to be carefully curated.
We love how you styled your washable Bubble rug! What drew you to that particular piece?
It had just the right blend of softness, statement and doubles as a throw. The pink tone echoed the earthy hues of our travels and sunsets. It felt like a natural extension of our on-the-road lifestyle.
How does your rug tie into your overall home style or mood?
It anchors the space while still feeling light and airy. It’s soft underfoot but strong in presence—just like the aesthetic I try to create in all my renovations: considered, calm, and a little bit magic.
Where do you get most of your home styling inspiration—from travel, nature, Pinterest, or somewhere else?
A mix of all of them! Nature is my biggest muse. Australia’s landscapes are a masterclass in colour and texture. My international and Australian travels give me fresh perspective, and Pinterest helps me refine those ideas into something uniquely me.
What advice would you give someone wanting to refresh their space on a budget?
Start by editing. Decluttering can transform a space instantly. Then, shop your home, move things around, style with intention. Add fresh textiles, DIY something, and don’t underestimate the power of paint or a new rug to shift the entire mood. And don’t forget your vertical spaces with pops of art.
